Eton Pharmaceuticals now selling hydrocortisone drug

DEER PARK - Eton Pharmaceuticals has announced the full availability of its Alkindi Sprinkle oral drug for sale and distribution in the United States. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently approved Alkindi Sprinkle hydrocortisone granules as a therapy for Adrenocortical Insufficiency in children under 17 years of age.

This low-dose option allows for more accurate and individualized dosing for patients, the company said.

Eton Pharmaceuticals is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing innovative treatments for rare pediatric diseases. Adrenal Insufficiency occurs when the adrenal glands don't make enough of the hormone cortisol. This leads to fatigue and other symptoms, including low blood pressure, kidney failure and pain.
