Recruitment firm adds Executive Search practice

OAK BROOK - Felix Global, a leadership development, recruiting and outplacement firm, has hired industry veterans J. James O'Malley and Marc Detampel to lead its new Executive Search practice.

O'Malley will lead Felix Global's Executive Search Practice and brings with him 30 years of talent acquisition solutions. In 2018, he co-founded a retained search firm focused on recruitment in the private equity, professional services and financial services sectors. Previously, he was a partner and executive search practice leader at TalentRISE, a recruitment solutions firm in Chicago. Prior to that, he was senior vice president in the human resource function of Fifth Third Bancorp. O'Malley has also worked for several professional service firms, including Arthur Andersen, Deloitte, Huron Consulting and Lante.

Detampel brings 25 years of consulting experience to the Felix Global team that includes advising on executive talent, human capital strategy, change management, leadership development and organizational design. He is focused on recruiting and talent management issues for clients in professional services and telecommunications, wireless and cable. As an expert in human capital and organizational issues, he continues to service chief human resources officers. Prior to joining Felix Global, Detampel worked for several global consulting firms including Alvarez & Marsal, EY, Accenture and BearingPoint.
