Convergint Technologies buys electronic security business

SCHAUMBURG - Convergint Technologies Monday said it has acquired Diebold Nixdorf's Asia Pacific electronic security business. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Diebold Nixdorf electronic security division provides comprehensive security solutions for financial, retail and other industries across the Asia Pacific region. Its service offerings include security system design, integration, installation and maintenance; PA systems, integrated building management systems and fire system implementation.

The company will become part of Convergint's Asia Pacific subsidiary, ICD Security Solutions.

"Together we can provide even stronger service across this key international market, enabling Convergint's goal of being our customers' best service provider," said Ken Lochiatto, CEO of Convergint Technologies.

Schaumburg-based Convergint Technologies is a $1.4 billion global systems integrator that designs, installs and services electronic security, cybersecurity, fire alarm and life safety systems.
