Duly Health produces nearly $13 million in Medicare savings

DOWNERS GROVE - Duly Health and Care, formerly the DuPage Medical Group, Monday said it has earned a perfect 100%, the highest achievable score for quality, while producing $12.6 million in savings for the Medicare Shared Savings Program last year.

As the largest independent, multi-specialty physician group in the Midwest, Duly and its Accountable Care Organization were assigned more than 54,000 Medicare patients in 2020. The organization is the fastest growing Medicare Advantage company in the Chicago area.

"To achieve the highest score possible for clinical quality and to get so much waste out the system is outstanding," said Dr. Paul Merrick, co-chairman of the Duly Health board and chief physician executive.

The Medicare Shared Savings Program holds medical practices accountable for quality, experience and cost of care when evaluating their performance. A high-performing practice is rewarded with the opportunity to earn shared savings.
