Theater adds third show of 'Willy Wonka Jr.'

Streamwood Park District Theater students will present the third show of "Willy Wonka Jr.," added by popular demand!

These adorable little oompa loompas will be singing this weekend at Elgin Community College to the tunes of Roald Dahl's "Willy Wonka Junior."

"This is the Theatre Academy's third production in the last year," said Streamwood Park District's Recreation Manager, Lauren Jochem. "The children are excited to be performing on a bigger stage, as we have now moved our production from Judson College".

ECC is a much larger stage with greater technical capabilities.

This Friday evening and Saturday matinee are sold out, so a third production for Saturday evening at 7 p.m. was added.

Tickets are still available for purchase at Park Place Family Recreation Center, 550 Park Blvd. Tickets are $8 and children three and under are free!

The Theatre Academy's next performance is the famous Disney's Camp Rock the Musical, Aug. 18 and 19. Children entering grades 3 through 10 are welcome to register now for rehearsals that begin on June 11. For more information contact Lauren at (630) 483-3132.
