Barrington's NeuroBalance Center will host special event Wednesday
NeuroBalance Center in Barrington is taking limited reservations for a Wednesday afternoon speech by Joe Motz on why he is riding his bicycle 6,500 miles across the country to raise awareness for Parkinson's disease.
The event is 3 to 5 p.m. Jimmy Choi, a three-time American Ninja Warrior contestant living with Parkinson's disease, also is scheduled to share his story.
NeuroBalance Center, at 1529 S. Grove Ave., serves clients with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and other conditions. To register for Wednesday's free event, email molly@neurobalancecenter.org, call (847) 800-6162 or stop by the front desk. Tours and refreshments will be available before and after the speakers. Nonprofit NeuroBalance has sliding-scale fees and draws from a roughly 30-mile radius for programs and a facility that has modern exercise equipment such as an antigravity treadmill and Power Plate whole-body vibration machines.
