AMC unveils theater upgrades in Rosemont

AMC has unveiled upgrades to its movie theater in Rosemont's entertainment district following a four-month renovation project.

Now branded AMC DINE-IN Rosemont 12, the theater features a food "delivery to seat" experience, where moviegoers can order at the concession stand, and a server brings the food to the movie auditorium. The menu includes appetizers, entrees and desserts, plus traditional movie favorites like popcorn and candy.

Following approval by the village board last August, the theater can now also serve alcohol to those 21 and older, whereas previous rules limited purchases to those 25 and older.

Theaters also have new plush, power recliners.

The renovations shut down six of the theater's 18 screens, with plans to parcel out that space to another user, village officials have said.
