Dist. 220 making second attempt to sell former headquarters
Barrington Area Unit District 220's former administration headquarters will be offered a second time to the highest bidder.
No sealed bids for a minimum $900,000 were received last year for property at 310 E. James St. in Barrington. The 12,413-square-foot building is on a 1.5-acre site.
Last week, the school board approved a resolution that would authorize the sale for a minimum $680,000 through a sealed bid process. District 220 moved its headquarters to 515 W. Main St. across from Barrington High School after the 2018-19 academic season.
