Arlington Heights health center gets $3.2 million from Rescue Plan

An Arlington Heights-based federally qualified health center has received $3.2 million as part of a recent award of stimulus funds for vaccine efforts and to enhance services and infrastructure.

Legacy Medical Care, a nonprofit that operates clinics in Arlington Heights, Hanover Park, Addison, Elgin and East Dundee, received the grant funding under the American Rescue Plan, allocated through the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services' Health Resources and Services Administration.

It was among a total of $4.8 million given to four Illinois primary care centers, announced this week by U.S. Sens. Tammy Duckworth and Dick Durbin.
