Environmental resource fair Sept. 26 in Streamwood

Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison will host a free in-person environmental resource fair from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, at Rahlf's Woods, 1350 S. Park Ave. in Streamwood.

The event will feature a variety of family-friendly events, activities and information booths. Exhibitors include the Chicago Botanic Garden, Citizens Utility Board, Cook County Department of Environment and Sustainability, Cook County MEDS Disposal Initiative, Illinois Environmental Council, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, Schaumburg Monarch Initiative and Trickster Cultural Center.

The fair will be moved to the Poplar Creek Library in case of inclement weather.
