Dan Troy, TEKsystems Midwest sales director, explored building relationships to build sales recently at Aurora University. Troy keynoted AU's Dunham School of Business Sales Institute, a bimonthly educational program, at the university's Orchard Center campus in Aurora.
(Upper right) Members of the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of Rahab's Daughters Closet, 181 Northwest Hwy., Cary, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Rahab's Daughters Closet is Rahab's Daughters first thrift shop to support their nonprofit organization, which helps victims of human trafficking.
Elk Grove Village Mayor Craig Johnson, along with officials from the village and the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce, helped celebrate the grand reopening of the Elk Grove Village Holiday Inn with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. The hotel underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation.
The Geneva Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Captured by Lorraine, 312 S. Third St., Geneva. Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns and Judy Carroll, chamber membership director hold the ribbon while owner Lorraine Matti cuts the ribbon.
The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrated a ribbon cutting of Bar Evolution, 27 N. River St., with owner John Hamel and Mayor Jeff Schielke. Bar Evolution is a new lounge serving martinis, wine, whiskey, bourbon and beer with live music and hors d'oeuvres.
Naperville Mayor Steve Chirico, Former Mayor George Pradel, members of the city council, developer Marquette Companies and Hotel Indigo Naperville Riverwalk staff celebrate the ribbon cutting for the 153-room boutique hotel that anchors the new Water Street District shopping and dining development in downtown Naperville.
