Consumers Credit Union to host 87th Annual Meeting

WAUKEGAN - Consumers Credit Union will host its 87th annual meeting on March 15 at Key Lime Cove Resort in Gurnee.

The meeting features the election of four members to the credit union's board of directors, along with the awarding of eight scholarships, each worth $2,000. The scholarships are selected and awarded by Consumers Cooperative Association, CCU's sponsor.

The meeting kicks off with a welcome from CCU's Chairman of the Board John R. Janezic, followed by CEO Sean Rathjen's presentation, including the 2016 financial performance and comparison of CCU's performance to other financial institutions on both the national and local levels. Members will then meet the candidates for the all-volunteer board of directors, followed by the board election.

Nominees for election to the CCU board of directors include Nancy Anderson, Incumbent, Ingleside; Denise Twardy Charts, Incumbent, Libertyville; Scott Drabicki, Vernon Hills; Demar Harris, Waukegan; John Janezic, Incumbent, Green Oaks; and Spiridoula Mavrothalasitis, Chicago.

Approximately 300 members and guests are expected to attend the meeting. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m. 2016 Annual Reports will also be distributed at the meeting. Tickets are available at all CCU Service Centers for $15.00 on a first-come, first-served basis; no tickets will be sold at the door.
