Byline Bank Named Illinois SBA 7(a) Lender of the Year

Byline Bank was selected as the Illinois SBA 7(a) Lender of the Year by the Illinois District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration at the 2018 Illinois Small Business Awards ceremony at the Union League Club of Chicago.

Byline received the award for providing the best overall support for the SBA 7(a) loan program based upon the total dollars delivered to Illinois small businesses in 2017. Byline Bank's Illinois SBA loans totaled $135 million in fiscal 2017, which created 1,335 jobs, according to the SBA.

"Byline Bank is dedicated to helping businesses throughout Illinois obtain access to the capital needed to open, grow or expand their business, while creating jobs throughout the state," said Bruce Lammers, President of Byline Small Business Capital. "This award is a testament to the hard work and expertise of our local SBA lending team, who work with business owners to find the right loan structure to meet their goals."

Byline Bank was also honored by the U.S. Small Business Administration as the SBA Export Lender of the Year for small lending institutions earlier this year. Byline was recognized for its efforts to increase access to capital for United States companies, providing international trade financing to small businesses with $16.1 million in export loans in fiscal year 2017. Byline Bank ranked eighth nationally in 2017 for SBA 7(a) loan volume, totaling $397.9 million, according to the SBA.

Headquartered in Chicago, Byline Bancorp Inc., is the parent company for Byline Bank, a full service commercial bank serving small- and medium-sized businesses, financial sponsors, and consumers. Local operations are found in towns including Skokie, Schaumburg, Des Plaines and Wilmette.
