Wakeley named managing broker at Coldwell Banker Northwest office

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage announced Doug Wakeley has been named managing broker of the company's Northwest office located in Arlington Heights.

Wakeley will oversee the day-to-day business operations of the office and provide leadership guidance to its affiliated agents.

Wakeley has more than 16 years of experience working in residential and commercial real estate sales in the Northwest suburbs. Within his first year in business, Wakeley was named "Rookie of the Year" by the North Shore Barrington Association of Realtors (NSBAR) for his outstanding production and has since led a successful career. At a previous brokerage, Wakeley used his widespread market knowledge and industry expertise to assist the leadership team with recruiting, and mentoring agents to help them thrive in business.

Wakeley's extensive experience in recruiting, business operations and development, as well as coaching can be attributed to his previous venture as a co-founder & owner of an IT consultancy. There, he managed the company operations and grew the organization from three business partners to over 70 full-time employees in just four years.

Wakeley and his wife Patty, a special needs nurse at a local school, live in downtown Palatine. He also has a son Ryan who's an arborist in the Denver area.
