BPI inks 11-year lease on headquarters

MCHENRY - Brake Parts Inc. recently closed on an 11-year lease for its U.S. distribution facility, which will keep the company's global headquarters, distribution and warehouse facilities in McHenry. W.P. Carey, a net lease investor, brokered the lease through the property's sale from Brennan Investment Group, LLC. The buildings' refinancing by W.P. Carey will ensure that BPI's headquarters remains a state-of-the-art, world class distribution facility, the company said in a release. "BPI has a lot of history tied to McHenry and its global headquarters," said David Overbeeke, president and CEO of BPI. "Our continued lease ensures we will remain a key member of the community for years to come," Overbeeke added the lease is also vital to the company's North American operational structure "as it allows us to continue to be the premier manufacturer and supplier of brake system components without any interruption to the business."
