Business Ledger to host Small Business Economic Forum

A panel of experts will discuss issues of importance to small business owners at the Small Business Economic Forum, hosted by the Daily Herald Business Ledger and its sponsoring partners.

The event will be from 7:30-9:30 a.m. April 25 at Harper College - Wojcik Conference Center, 1200 Algonquin Road, Palatine.

Panel members include Elliot Richardson, president and Founder of the Small Business Advocacy Council; Mark Peterson, president & CEO of Intersect Illinois; Matt Frank, director of economic development for the village of Schaumburg; Mark Koplin, assistant village manager for the village of Hoffman Estates; and Michael O'Rourke, president & CEO of Signature Bank.

The topics will focus on how small business can start, stay and succeed in Illinois and will include a legislative update on issues of importance to small businesses, why Illinois is still a great place to do business, and what local municipalities are doing to support the business community.
