MMA & Co. names Grealish, Howell to new positions

Wheaton-based Mathieson, Moyski, Austin & Co., LLP, recently named Jennifer Grealish, MBA, and Rebecca (Becky) Howell to newly created positions.

Grealish is the company's first firm administrator. She comes to MMA & Co. with a strong background in operations and human resources in the accounting industry.

"We are delighted to welcome Jennifer to the firm," said Ron Austin, CPA, managing partner. "This new role represents a commitment to our evolution as a firm, and it has been part of our vision and strategic plan to have a firm administrator to help us grow. Jennifer brings a wealth of experience that supports that vision."

Grealish has a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Illinois State University and a Master of Business Administration-marketing degree from Roosevelt University. She has certificates from MRA-The Management Association in human resources and was Illinois chapter president of the CPA Firm Management Association in 2016-2017. She served as chairwoman of the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce in 2005-2006 and was recognized as their Member of the Year in 2002.

Howell was promoted to manager of accounting services as the client demand for accounting services continues to grow. She joined Mathieson, Moyski, Austin & Co. in September of 2016. Previously, Howell worked on the industry side of accounting, and she was a client of the firm. She holds a business degree from Black Hawk College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Moody Bible Institute.

"We've seen a spike in the number of both new and existing clients who need accounting services," said Brian Hagene, CPA, partner. "In order to respond to client demand, we created this manager position. Becky has the experience and leadership skills to take our department to the next level."
