Scene75 entertainment complex coming to Romeoville

ROMEOVILLE - Ohio-based Scene75 Entertainment is breaking ground converting a former Romeoville Sam's Club into one of the largest entertainment centers in the country, the village announced Monday.

The 135,000-square-foot entertainment center will have two 9-hole black light mini-golf courses, an indoor spinning roller coaster, indoor electric go-karts, spinning bumper cars, a 36-foot-tall drop tower, a two-story laser tag arena and more than 150 arcade games. There will also be a full-service bar, a restaurant and banquet facility capable of featuring as many as 300 guests.

Scene75 is a family owned and operated brand with four entertainment centers in Ohio and another in Pittsburgh. The Romeoville locations is expected to attract more than 400,000 visitors per year.

"Their concept has been a tremendous hit in other places and we are proud to be the site for their Illinois location," Mayor John Noak said.

The center, 460 S. Weber Road, is expected to open late this summer.
