Baxter & Woodman appoints chief innovation officer

CRYSTAL LAKE - Baxter & Woodman Inc. Consulting Engineers promoted professional engineer Matthew D. Washkowiak to chief innovation officer.

Washkowiak will drive innovation strategies within the company and promote the value and influence that innovation brings. As a member of the firm's Strategic Planning Group, Washkowiak will champion change management for innovation enhancements firm-wide.

Washkowiak is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois and Florida. He has more than 27 years of experience in organizational leadership, business development and project management.

"Matt challenges staff to identify new ideas, concepts and methods that deliver difference-making projects to the communities and clients we serve. Matt's commitment to forward-thinking ideas earned him this leadership role focused on enhancing our corporate culture of innovation." said Lou Haussmann, chief operating officer.

Washkowiak is based out of the firm's Crystal Lake office.
